2000-HDE
PROGRAMMABLE DIGITAL IGNITION SYSTEMS
A
plug-in upgrade to the electronic advance ignition found on late
model Harleys, these ignitions are micro-computer controlled, generating
extremely accurate control over the entire ignition process. Allows
riders to tailor the advance curve and rev limiter to the specific
needs of their particular engine -- four built-in advance curves
cover the needs of stock to highly modified engines over a variety
of operating conditions; four independent rev limiter choices from
6000 to 7500 rpm set the exact protection level needed. DD2000-HD1E8
comes with 8-pin connectors as used on 94 and later Harleys; operates
in single-fire or dual-fire modes. DD2000-HD2E8 comes with
8-pin connectors as used on 94 and later Harleys; operates in dual-fire
mode only. D2000-HD1E8 and DD2000-HD2E8 offer a quick
curve which simulates a mechanical advancer for hot rod motors;
option to use vacuum advance compensation via a VOES switch and
retard mode, which allows selection of ignition retard of 5°,
7° or 10° upon activation of a retard input. DD2000-HD2
is for use with a dual-fire ignition only; it simply plugs right
into your 7-pin stock harness and mounts right in the original ignition
mounting area . DD2000-HD1 comes with a 7-pin connector;
can be used with either one ignition coil firing both cylinders
(dual fire), or with two ignition coils, one firing each cylinder
(single-fire) -- no other ignition offers this flexibility . A separate
tach output wire allows clean tach operation during rev limiting
and when in single-fire mode. A diagnostic LED indicator is included
on the back of the control module to assist trouble shooting and
static timing. Note: Not for fuel-injected models. HDE systems are
not compatible with Dyna "S" systems. Use HD1/HD2 systems
only.

Kit
includes Dyna 2000 ignition module & Twin Fire coils. Dyna 2000
ignition has expanded advance curve functionality, a special retard
mode for turbo-charged and nitrous bikes, selection between four
advance curves, a quick curve which simulates a mechanical advancer
for hot rod engines and four independent rev limiter choices (from
6000 to 7500 rpm). Dyna Twin Fire coils incorporate two performance
coils into a single package that is only slightly larger than the
stock coil and mounts easily to the stock mounting bracket; delivers

The Dyna 2000 Digital Performance Ignition for four cylinder
engines represents a breakthrough in motorcycle ignition flexibility.
The Dyna 2000 system consists of a state of the art microprocessor
controlled ignition module along with an adjustable Dyna dual
sensor crank trigger. For the first time you can actually
set the ignition timing to what you want to maximize engine
performance. A number of different advance curve modes and
a broad range rev limiter let you tailor the ignition to your
needs. * FULLY STATIC TIMEABLE- You can set the timing accurately
to the desired value without having the engine running. *
INDEPENDENT 1/4 2/3 CYLINDER TIMING- The Dyna dual sensor
crank trigger uses one sensor for cylinders 1 & 4 and
the other cylinder for 2 & 3 allowing you to accurately
set the timing for each cylinder pair. * BUILT-IN STATIC TIMING
LIGHT- An LED light built into the Dyna 2000 ignition module
allows you to monitor the crank trigger signal status and
easily set the ignition timing. * FIVE DIFFERENT ADVANCE CURVES-
You can advance slowly to dial out pinging on high compression
motors or bring the advance in quickly on quick revving motors
or select a curve in between to maximize the performance of
your combination. * FOUR DIFFERENT RETARD MODES- The Dyna
2000 is an ideal solution for turbo or nitrous combinations.
* TEST MODE- System check out and troubleshooting is a breeze
with this feature. * SAFETY INTERLOCK INPUT- You can keep
your side stand safety switch functional or hook up a theft
prevention switch, or activate a shift lever kill for road
racing. * BROAD RANGE REV LIMITER- The Dyna 2000 rev limiter
is adjustable from 8500 to 16,000 rpm to let you run in any
range you want. * DIGITAL TACH OUTPUT- Your tachometer will
run smooth and accurate, even at the rev limit. * HIGH ENERGY-
An innovative dwell control scheme maximizes spark energy
all the way to 16,000 rpm! The Dyna 2000 can be used with
2.2 ohm or 3 ohm coils. * EASY MOUNTING- The Dyna 2000 ignition
module has built in frame saddles to make mounting anywhere
a breeze. COMPLETE WIRING HARNESS- The Dyna 2000 kit includes
a complete wiring harness to simplify installation.
